Dr. Saito’s Observations: Dr. Walter Bishop was a former pioneer in the
science community specifically in the areas of Fringe science according to the
case files I am working with. He did many different projects for the government
during the Cold War including experiments with mind control, telepathy and different
forms of human augmentation through a drug called Cortexiphan he invented with
a Dr. William Bell.
Dr. Bishop was a former
patient at St. Claire’s Psychiatric Institution. He was arrested for the murder of Carla
Warren in 1991. Warren was a lab assistant of Dr. Bishop’s when he was working on
his fringe sciences at Harvard University. He and William Bell shared a lab in the
basement level of the Kresge Building, which was set on fire in the 1991
incident. The lab was restored after the blaze, and then converted to
University storage.
The Kresge lab was later
re-opened to the Fringe team for their research and other case-solving work
from 2008-2013. The lab stopped being put into use after the mysterious
disappearance of Dr. Bishop in 2013. The Dr. Bishop is now presumed dead, since
there was no comment on this from any family or close friends.
Disclaimer: This is my Multimodial Project for Otis College's Writing in the Digital Age Class. There is no Dr. Saito, and I do not have a professional opinion on the science behind Fringe.
